Degree Program of Industrial Safety and Risk Management
The Degree Program of Industrial Safety and Risk Management was established in 1999 with the objective to provide professional training for individuals responsible for safety and sanitary practices, as well as risk management in industrial setting. Combining hand-on experiences of each students and stewardship in this program, we intend to instill modern risk-aversion concepts and knowledge for improving the core corporate competitive advantage. The area that is emphasized particularly is the seamless cohesion of practice and academic theory. Prospective students in this program are those that have related job experiences and currently hold positions accountable for industrial safety. In order to graduate, a student not only needs to take courses in total of 24 credits but also requires a academic thesis putting theory into practice. To date, this program has graduated many outstanding students with strong feedbacks from industrial partners.
Degree Program of Automation and Precision Engineering

The program was established in 2000 with the objective to provide advanced training in theory and practice for students specializing in automation and precision engineering. Currently, the program has over 30 faculty members from academia and industries, providing courses covering a wide range of subjects including design, fabrication, and testing of precision machines, as well as basic and advanced topics in automation related fields. In the near future, the program will be focusing on cohesive training for design, maintenance, and fabrication of complicated machinery in applications of semiconductors, optoelectronics, and mechanical tooling.

Degree Program of Engineering and Technology Management

The program was established in 2001 as a Degree Program of Construction Technology and Management, and transformed into its current form in 2007. The objective for this program is to inculcate high-leveled engineers and managers for construction industry, hoping to enhance necessary engineering skill sets and management knowhow to expedite construction projects. The courses are well-balanced in theory and practice, providing studies in engineering project managements, construction e-business and computerization, as well as technology and management for high-tech fab. In addition to accommodate current market trends, the program starts focusing more on classes in high-tech fab, intelligent building, and PMP project management certification.

Degree Program of Semiconductor Materials and Process Equipment

The program was established in 2003 with supporting faculty from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nano Technology Institute, and expertise from industrial partners. The objective for this program is to provide a re-educational venue for individuals employed in semiconductor companies to improve their professional knowledge in science and engineering. The courses offered lay a solid foundation on semiconductor materials, devices, and fabrications. To meet students’ work schedules, the classes are typically conducted in evening and weekend. Currently, the program enrolls many students from IC, LCD, LED industries in nearby science parks.
